On August 12th, Mallorca experienced an extraordinary natural phenomenon: a solar eclipse that transformed the island’s familiar light into a rare moment of shadow, stillness and wonder.
To celebrate this once in a generation occasion, Jumeirah Mallorca hosted a special sensory event dedicated to experiencing the eclipse from its unique setting in Port de Sóller, surrounded by the dramatic landscape of the Serra de Tramuntana and the Mediterranean Sea.
As part of this celebration, Cala Falco and Viti Vinci were invited by Jumeirah to create a sensory journey inspired by the eclipse, nature and the Mediterranean.
- Tramuntana Mist, Jumeirah Mallorca’s bespoke fragrance from the Cala Falcó lab, captured the essence of the Serra de Tramuntana with a distinctive Mediterranean olfactory note
- Apollo, from the Mythos Collection of the olfactory art studio, Viti Vinci. Apollo aptly embodies the Greek god of light. Citrus freshness, solar florals and sandalwood evoke warmth, vitality and radiance, making it a particularly symbolic fragrance for the eclipse.
- The experience was completed with Immortelle - a new Recovery Balm from the Cala Falco Collection. A botanical skincare ritual inspired by the Mediterranean landscape, blending botanicals immortelle with neroli, lavender and santolina.
Together, the event and these creations became a sensory tribute to the rare beauty of the solar eclipse, celebrating an unforgettable moment for the VIP guests through scent, nature and the spirit of Mallorca.
